David Galvin

David joined the commercial department of the firm in 1990 and was assigned to the debt recovery division where he worked as a Legal Executive. He specialises in Debt Collection Litigation and works predominantly for a leading Financial Institution as well as a number of large private clients.

David has significant experience advising financial institutions in relation to securities held including, but not limited to, fraudulent transfers, enforcement of Mortgages and Guarantees. David also has considerable experience in the enforcement of Judgments, advising and running trials in all courts in difficult cases, advising clients in relation to negotiations and compromising cases in necessary situations, instructing and attending counsel and ensuring smooth running of Trials.

David regularly advises on particularly difficult banking situations including liens/set offs of credit balances, exercising powers of attorney, general banking advices in relation to Mortgages, Letters of Loan Offer, letters of pledge and ensuring all requirements in relation to Bank Security are complied with.

David is an associate member of the Irish Institute of Legal Executives and a Commissioner for Oaths.

Sarah O’Connell

Sarah joined the firm as a Legal Secretary in September 2016 and qualified as a Legal Executive in 2018.  Sarah successfully completed a Diploma in Legal Studies and Practice (Level 7 QQI Special Purpose Award) at Griffith College Cork.

Sarah assists Donnchadha Murphy, Partner, in areas such as debt recovery, banking law, company law, private and commercial conveyancing, commercial litigation, insolvency law, receiverships and liquidations and property law, with a particular interest in debt recovery and company law.
